The Type P Marine Oil Rig Shipboard Cable features heat, sunlight, and moisture resistance with a flexible, flame-retardant design. It includes flexible tin-coated conductors, irradiation cross-linked polyolefin insulation, and an optional Arctic-grade neoprene jacket. Ideal for marine and oil rig applications, it withstands extreme temperatures and environmental conditions.

  • Cold Resistance: Passes the -55˚C cold bend and -40˚C cold impact tests.
  • Heavy Duty Jacket: Black Arctic Grade Neoprene jacket for superior protection against environmental factors.

Construction:

  • Conductor: Flexible, soft annealed tinned copper per ASTM B33 & IEEE 1580 for optimal conductivity and flexibility.
  • Insulation: Irradiation cross-linked Polyolefin rated for 125˚C to ensure longevity and durability in high temperatures.
  • Circuit Identification: Vividly pigmented insulation with standard Dk. Gray color; custom colors available per IEEE 1580.
  • Armor (Optional): Bronze braid as standard for enhanced protection; Tinned Copper braid is available as an option.
  • Jacket (Optional): Black, Heavy Duty, Arctic Grade Neoprene, which is sunlight-resistant for increased longevity.

Temperature Rating:

  • UL/CSA: 110˚C
  • IEEE: 100˚C
