Description

Our wooden pilot ladders are available in various sizes to suit your needs.

Each ladder is constructed with precision, featuring hardwood machined steps approximately 500mm x 110mm. These steps are threaded and securely fixed onto two pairs of 28-30mm diameter manila ropes, with steps spaced at 350mm intervals.

Every 8 steps, a spreader replaces the standard step. This elongated step, with a minimum length of 1.8m, prevents the ladder from twisting in adverse weather conditions, ensuring safe usage.

The bottom four steps are crafted from synthetic or composite resin, offering enhanced durability against the wear and impact caused by interactions between the host vessel and pilot boats.

Given the high decks of most commercial ships, pilot ladders are essential for boarding at sea. When not in use, the ladders are conveniently rolled up and stowed to prevent unnecessary exposure.
